Managing Mischief: Managing Your Mind’s Mischief
Honestly, what does that even mean?
It means that this office is all about helping you learn how to manage your mind’s mischief, how to calm the chaos in your cerebral cortex, and how to overall help you better understand yourself.
Because therapy is so much more than just talking about how that makes you feel. Maybe you don’t even know how you feel. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be open to the process.
Courage starts with showing up
and letting ourselves be seen.”

The Therapist

Are you looking for someone who understands? For a place where you feel like you can finally talk about all the things you have been thinking for years but haven’t said out loud? To finally feel heard? Maybe just to have someone objective who will listen and not judge?
I might be just the therapist for you. I could give you the whole counselor language for what I do and who I am (and if you are interested in that, there is a section just for you later on). Instead, I will just sum it up. My clients are the center of my practice, and I believe that each client is different. I meet you where you are and help you navigate what steps are next.
Sometimes, that may look like processing some trauma, discussing coping skills, processing childhood trauma, practicing communication skills, or planning your next trip to the dentist. Therapeutic support is not one size fits all, and you deserve care that is a fit for you.
My approach is affirming and inclusive. I am continuously learning more to best serve my clients. I recently completed a Neurodivergent Affirming Therapist intensive. I love helping you better understand yourself, your needs, and how to advocate for yourself.
Another hard thing about seeking a counselor in the South is worrying about running into faith-based counseling. Don’t worry about that here! If you desire, your particular spirituality can absolutely be incorporated as a part of your treatment.
If you’re ready to get started, reach out! I do my best to make the process as painless as possible.
